Description
DESCRIPTION:Vintage circa 1960 United States Senate Chamber reserved gallery pass signed by Barry Goldwater, and a House of Representative Visitor Pass Signed by John J. Rhodes. These were both for the 86th Congress which was in session from January 3, 1959, to January 3, 1961, although there are no specific dates on the passes. These were the last two years of the presidency of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Barry Goldwater was the Republican Party nominee for president of the United States in 1964. John J Rhodes was a Republican and was
the Minority Leader in the House 1973–81.
The Senate Pass is in fine condition, the orange House of Representatives Pass has a white spot near the upper right corner. Please note I am also including a paper coaster (somewhat stained) from the restaurant of the US Senate that was probably picked up at the time of the visit.
