    Originally worn by Mbuti women as wrap around skirt, these bark cloths have received world renown as great design. See Meurant's book Mbuti Design (Thames and Hudson, 1995).
    This is a genuine handmade textile from the indigenous people of the Ituri rainforest, and would make a gorgeous piece of framed art for your living room or library.
    This cloth is late 20th century, measuring 27 x 16 inches, and is painted with abstract figures or characters on a dark brown ground. Excellent condition with minor imperfections; comes folded. Questions welcome. Shipped USPS Priority mail.
