    WONDERFUL COLORFUL BIRD ON A STAND -  SCULPTURE
    Alebrijes are Mexico's fantastic, imaginative figures - they are often called "creatures of the dreams and the imagination".  They are hand-carved and hand-painted  of copal wood in Central Mexico where I travel regularly to select affordable high quality and imaginative pieces.    This terrific sculpture is approximately 7 1/2 " tall, 9 7/8" wide and 7" long. The feathers and wings are removable and the bird comes out of the stand.      This interesting piece  would be a great gift or a wonderful addition to any collection.
