head gear are conduct orthodontic treatment in cases when intraoral sources are found to be insufficient.
The head gear are most commonly used as the extraoral force generating source.
Derives anchorage from the occipital region
Used in Class III malocclusions associated with mild to moderate mandibular prognathism
Also indicated in patients with slightly protrusive lower incisors as they invariably produce lingual tipping of the lower incisors.
Indications:
Suitable for all head and chin sizes.
The connector line runs between the tip of the chin and temporo-mandibular joint.
For early treatment of Angle Class III
With cross-bite tendency of single or all anterior teeth
Must have in every orthodontic dental practice clinic
Vented ergonomic plastic cap for maximum patient comfort
