    Description

COOL RABBIT WITH FLOWERS OAXACA WOOD CARVING
BY THE HIGHLY TALENTED ARTIST JOSE OLIVERA PEREZ
WONDERFUL WORK IN A HAND CARVED ECONOMICAL PIECE! QUALITY AND DETAILED CARVING WITH FINE PAINTING!
A great piece for any rabbit lover out there. This rabbit is painted with a yellow, orange and red floral pattern outlined in black on a dark burgundy wine background with spots for accents. So cool and unique! The artist is Jose Olivera Perez, a cousin of the Master Woodcarver Jacobo Angeles. Jose is a true artist in his own right, with his own distinct style. His house is located on the outskirts of the village, and in this location he is much closer to nature. You can see the inspiration of his surroundings in his work.  But what amazes us is the sense of detail and movement in such an economical piece that was carved by the artist himself. His work is easily recognizable and you do not see the same forms everywhere. It is rare to see fie details like the protruding hips in such an economical piece. And the paint design is cheerful and well thought out. The tail and ears are removable for safe shipping, and the piece is signed by the artist.
