The NEX 6 is one of the latest incantations out of the Sony NEX line up. It was released in late 2012 and sits nicely in features and price between the 5T and 7, looking more like the latter. A predecessor to the A6000, in some ways it remains superior. To sum up the entire NEX line, you get “HD Video capable aps-c sensors in a small body”. Responding to consumer desire for a smaller camera with DSLR type image quality, the incredibly successful NEX system was born.
This 16.1 MP NEX 6 camera body (S/N 06566xx) is in
near
mint condition
. The rear LCD is lightly marked with just a couple of marks and the rest of the body cosmetics are as new. Shutter count is just 168, which is quite startling (I checked a couple of times) on the 100k rated shutter of this model. The low use combined with the fine condition makes this an almost new NEX-6, almost 10 years after its release.
I have inspected and dry/wet cleaned the sensor so you are starting fresh with no dust spots on your images and won’t require a professional cleaning upon receipt.
Included with this NEX 6 camera body is a body cap, hot shoe cap, Sony AC charger, micro USB cable, strap and OEM NP-FW50 Infolithium W battery.
Sony LCS-U21 camera bag in like new condition also included.

Just to be clear, these e-mount bodies and lenses are a different mount from the Sony Alpha DSLRs and SLTs I sell, but the alpha mount lenses can be used on a NEX with an LE-Ax adapter.
Features of the NEX 6 include a 16.1 MP aps-c sensor, all shooting, scene and exposure modes found in the larger Sony Alpha cameras, including Panorama and Hand Held Night Shot, ISO to 25600, Fast Hybrid AF for optimal fast and precise autofocus, DRO and HDR Auto, 10 fps continuous shooting in speed priority, self timer, flash modes and so on. The XGA viewfinder is identical to the NEX 7’s and is top notch.
These cameras just keep getting better with each successive generation.
Of course the NEX 6 also has full 1080p AVCHD video capability.
With a pancake lens attached, the NEX will fit in your pocket and even if you already own a full sized kit, there are times when this is a real convenience, especially with all the conveniences of a mid line DSLR included in the package. After all, the best camera you own is the one you carry with you.
