STUNNING RARE MINTON 1863-72 DRESSER TRAY AESTHETIC GOLD FLORAL MOTIF c.1864

Description

This is a gorgeous ANTIQUE DRESSER TRAY by MINTON. For its age, it is in excellent condition. The simple pink Minton globe dates this piece to 1863-1872, and the year "1864" is glazed on the back. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is minimal crazing on the reverse side as well as in the white center square on the front. There is a spot of minor gold wear on the top border, and a pin sized manufacturing bubble at 6 o'clock or the center bottom just above the gold border. Please excuse any light reflections on the photos...there are no spots that seem to appear on the left side in the 1st photo. The gold background really makes the beautifully hand painted lilies pop. The tray measures 9 3/4" by 7"; I believe its original purpose was to act as a dresser tray, but of course it can just be admired on its own. This is quite a special piece!
