It is known as the poster that caused cracks in the Van Halen foundation. After two successful albums and a string of sold-out tours, the band had expected that the record label would use an image of the entire band. Instead, Warner Bros. decided to use this David Lee Roth 'bondage' shot as the insert poster for the 1980 'Women and Children First' album.
Because of its daring imagery - and the fact that this was a Helmut Newton photo - the poster has become highly collectible. What sets this poster apart from the ones in circulation is that this poster was never (machine) folded! It was preserved perfectly flat and has remained in excellent condition. It measures 24 x 36 inches and will be a prestigious addition to any collection.
