Vintage AFRICAN ART BATIK BANANA PICKERS Scene WALL HANGING With TABS (4)
This beautiful handcrafted batik features an African scene with three banana pickers and utilizes rich and vibrant colors.
This wax dyed batik is created on cotton fabric using batik waxes and browns, blacks, greens and golds color batik dyes.
It measures approximately 37.0" across and 34.0" high (32.0" and then with 2.0" tabs).
There are four tabs for hanging. Perfect for hanging or can also be framed.
Batik design is finished with a solid light green fabric lining on the back of the batik.
Purchased internationally in the 1970s/1980s.
In excellent vintage condition with these exceptions: two stain marks on the back green lining, which can also be seen on the front of the batik, and tiny pinhole marks on each of the four tabs, and also tiny pinhole marks in the lower right and left corners of the batik from being hung on a wall previously. Pinholes are barely noticeable.
Batik origin is stamped in black ink in lower corner of back green lining.
