    Description

Available is an original Model 1965 United States Marine Corps stenciled Cold Weather Field Jacket made by Alpha.
The heavy jacket is olive drab (green) in color.  It comes with its working Scoville zipper and draw.  It has epaulettes and all of its original buttons and tie strings.  The jacket was also called a P1965, M1965, P65, or M65 Cold Weather Field Jacket.
This type of coat was worn through the mid 1960's well into the 1980's.
The jacket has the EGA stencil on the left breast pocket.
It is named on the tag (hand written) in the collar to "Bryant".
The original tag is sewn into the lining at the neck and reads in part, "LARGE REGULAR/HEIGHT: FROM 67 TO 71 IN./CHEST: FROM 41 TO 45 IN./STOCK NO. 8415-01-099-7842/NATO SIZE: 7080/0414/COAT, COLD WEATHER, MAN'S FIELD/ALPHA INDUSTRIES, INC. RN 35569/KNOXVILLE, TN. U.S.A./SHELL: 50% NYLON 50% COTTON”.
The button in lining is not present.
The jacket is in very good condition showing only some light soiling that would likely be removed if washed.  There is a tiny wear or tear spot at the hem of the jacket on the right hand size that can be seen in the pictures.  The spot measures four millimeters.  All the buttons are present.  Overall, the jacket would wear or display beautifully.  Please be sure to check out the large pictures I have posted and judge condition for yourself.
