Vintage, Oversize Indigo, Mali/44”x77”,Fringe/Handwoven Cotton Strips

Extra large, vintage, blanket size, 48” x 76” + 2” fringe, handwoven cotton and hand dyed, African indigo fabric, made by the Dogon in Mali.The deep indigo blue work is stitch dyed with light blue stripes, and an interesting pattern on the back with tiny lines from the back of the thread stitches; braided fringe at either end.
Medium-heavier weight; 10 hand woven cotton strips; excellent condition with the exception of a tiny tear at the top side of one end, and some missing fringe at the top and bottom ends. Clean, no holes, spots, or damage; seams tight.
Indigos have been used and washed, and will not bleed or run. They are washable in the future if need be.
Don’t pass this one up if you are looking for a good coverlet, blanket, throw, or a lot of fabric for a sewing project!!
